It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through cleaning.
It's extremely efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's easy to install and performs well, but this is something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan map, which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its application.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxes.
